The Annual Tullysaran Golf Classic will be held on Friday 20 August. The venue for this year’s Golf Classic is Armagh City Golf Club and it is hoped that this event will be as successful in 2010 as it has been in recent years.

O’Connell’s GAC Tullysaran is delighted to be the first club in Co. Armagh and Ireland to begin the hunt for the All Ireland GAA HUNT for the HUNK of the YEAR. The launch of this unique and exciting competition begins with the first heat of the Armagh HUNT for the HUNK being incorporated into a club event next Thursday night, June 17, in Ryandale, Moy, when Mike Denver and his band and DJ Paul Martin U-105 will provide the music after Ireland’s first ever GAA Hunk has been crowned.

Members and guests of O’Connell’s GAC gathered in Mary Ann’s Bar on Friday 29th January for the annual senior presentations and awards night. The combined Steak Night and the annual presentations and awards for senior football and camogie was a very lively, well attended and enjoyable night.

For the second season in a row and capping of a fantastic year, Tullysaran U12s lifted the Kathleen McCabe Memorial Trophy for 2009. In a thrilling and nail-biting final, Tullysaran pipped worthy finalists Maghery, by two points in extra time. Ecstatic scenes greeted referee Michael Gollogly’s final whistle with Tullysaran in fairness, being worthy winners.

The final training session of the 2009 season for the Tullysaran U8 and U10 football teams marked the end of a long yet very successful season for both teams and the occasion was marked by an in-house "fun football spectacular".

Historical Day for Tullysaran community- O’Connell’s GAC, Tullysaran celebrate the commencement of the development of their second playing pitch which has been made possible with substantial funding from Sport Northern Ireland who have agreed to invest £245,000 under the Places for Sport programme.

In late October 2009 O’Connell’s GAC was delighted to announce that we have been successful in our efforts to secure funding for the essential pitch development at O’Connell Park. The extension of our club facilities consisting of a new training pitch with flood lighting and fencing commenced early November 2009.

The main sponsor of the O’Connell’s GAC Golf Classic is Stan Corrigan who is a past player that has been steadfast in his sponsorship of the annual Tullysaran Golf Classic and his dedication to the club is very much appreciated.

The Tullysaran Gaelic Summer Camp commenced on Monday 10th August with a total enrolment of one hundred and sixty children. From Monday to Friday the club coaches, guest coaches and senior players within the club helped to coach the children in relation to the various codes of football, camogie and hurling.

When Sunday May 10th 2009 was designated by the GAA as La na gClub and each club in Ireland was asked to celebrate the 125th birthday of the GAA, O’Connell’s GAC was a shining example of all that is good in the GAA.

Members and guests of O’Connell’s GAC gathered in the Ryandale Moy on Friday 27th February for the club’s annual dinner dance. It was an opportunity to look back on the activities within the club during the past year and to celebrate the fact that O’Connell’s GAC has actively participated in all aspects of GAA life in the county and further afield throughout 2008.

Action Cancer’s Big Bus is returning to Tullysaran on Saturday 14th February and it will provide the same services as it did on its visit to the club in 2008.
On its previous visit to Tullysaran the number of requests for appointments was higher than the staff on the Big Bus could cope with and some people were left disappointed.
If you intend to avail any of the services provided by this Action Cancer team you should not hesitate to contact them as appointments for particular services are expected to be booked very quickly.

O’Connell’s GAC secured the necessary funding for this return visit of the Action Cancer Big Bus from Northern Bank Employees Charity Group.

Senior training has resumed. Senior indoor training will start on Wednesday 4th February from 9-10pm in Tullysaran Community Centre.
